Before there was DartFrog, there was Treasure from Lake Titicaca, the first book in The Mailbox Adventures series written in 2013 by Gordon McClellan. The next two books in the series, Tempest Over Tahiti and 65 Degress North, came quickly after. Gordon’s plan was to keep writing and building the series but found himself fielding requests from other authors to help publish their books. Along with his full-time day job, Gordon soon realized he had little time for marketing his own books (or writing new ones). So, the first three books sat and gathered dust as he began to build his hobby into a business. In 2015, Gordon officially launched DartFrog Books. In 2020, he left his day job to run DartFrog full time, and in 2023 he decided to finally begin marketing his own books…10 years late! Now he’s working on book 4 in the series, which will take Joey and Josie to Mali, an incredibly interesting and diverse country in western Africa.
