Once upon time there were four shapes who try to escape. They try to disguise themselves as different objects but were spotted. They race across the pages and slip into paints, and trip as they go. Will they ever succeed in their plan to escape?

The Shapes That Tried To Escape teaches children to recognize shapes and color in a fast-paced tale about a great escape. As the children read they learn how to combine basic shapes and endless numbers of new forms. Children are challenged to find shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle) and to recognize colors (purple, orange, blue, green) throughout the book. Winner of the 2019 Royal Dragonfly Book Award, The Shapes That Tried to Escape is a great book for teaching colors and shapes to kids and toddlers alike.
