A double story develops as a trial within a trial—for the lawyer's life as well as his client's dilemma. The eleven year old boy is the only hope Jack has to save his friend. A literary, legal drama with a twist.
Carl Roberts is now retired off the Gulf Coast of Florida. After graduation from LSU he served in the USAF as navigator and later as an Electronics War Officer flying reconnaissance missions over Russia from Yokota Air Base in Japan. He then returned to LSU Law School and practiced law both in private firms and as the lead trial attorney for the Attorney General's Office in Baton Rouge. His introduction to law was an assignment in the court-martial defense of an airman in Japan. The airman was threatened with a dishonorable discharge because of a political incident. In his effort to save the man from a wrongful charge, Capt. Roberts became fascinated with the necessity of justice. Carl now enjoys weaving stories from real life experiences.
