In today’s video-dominated, marketing-saturated world, static posts about a book don’t grab attention or inspire engagement. To effectively connect, an ad for a book needs to be stealth…a mini movie if you will…that doesn’t telegraph from the first frame that it is an advertisement. A viewer needs to wonder what they are watching, want to see where the video takes them, and be engaged the whole way through. When they realize at the end that the mini-movie they’ve been watching is an ad for a book, they will be connected to the product in a way that a static post urging them to learn more about a book could ever achieve. We call this a story promo.
